This museum portrays images and portraits of Picasso who was one of Mougins more famous artistic residents. The artist lived for nearly 15 years in the area and this museum hosts a permanent installation honouring the great man.
It has the added bonus of being located in the Medieval old town of Mougins at the historical Porte Sarrazin.

Closed in November.

Mougin is well known as a haven for contemporary artists and famous 20th century artists with it's most famous adopted son, Pablo Picasso who lived and died in the picturesque village. Now the town of Mougin is turning its eye to further back and has put together an impressive collection of classical art from the earliest civilizations of ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt.
The museum will open its doors to the public in the Spring of 2011. Opening times are 9.30am to 20.30pm and ticket prices start at €8 for OAP,Children and large groups and €17 for adults.
