Castel is a beach bar and restaurant situated right on the beach front of Nice's Promenade des Anglais. Tucked into the corner of the Quai des Etats-Unis it has the best view over the Mediterranean than any of the other beach bars. The slight elevation and corner aspect give it the advantage and its a great place for a sundowner. The staff are not particularly efficient or friendly but, persevere.

Blue beach is a beach club restaurant and bar opposite the famous Negresco Hotel. It is a self styled 'gastro plage' so expect a better class of food and service.
