CASTILLON
Castillon on the French Riviera is such a beautiful place to visit at any time of year. Castillon is nestled in the very low mountains by the sea, the Azur blue Mediterranean that gives the entire coastline it's second name; the Cote D'Azur.
Castillon is only 8 minutes from Menton and 14 minutes from Monte Carlo.
Situated as it is in the heart of the Riviera, there are so many and so varied reasons to visit here. Perhaps it's the natural colours, or the sea, the ancient culture, the magnificent weather or the relaxed easy-going lifestyle.
One of the primary reasons is to spend time with the many many artists who have come to live in Castillon, it is a veritable treasure trove of paintings and sculpture.
Castillon is also a great starting place from which to explore the foothills of the Alps; the Alpes Maritimes.

In Castillon just as in most towns and villages on the French Riviera, the Azur sky provides the backdrop for the sun yellow Mimosas in Spring, the snow capped peaks in winter and the lake smooth sea in summer. I didn't mention Autumn, it simply doesn't exist on the French Riviera. It's warm as summer right up to mid-December, and then the very gentle winter begins slowly.
Taking a winter stroll around the Cap D'Castillon is one of life's simple but most rewarding pleasures, nowhere will one find such contentment.
Castillon is one of many splendid places in which to spend a wonderful, relaxing and interesing holiday. Whether you are alone, a couple, a family or a group of friends, Castillon has so much going on all year round, that visitor often complain that a week or even two weeks is not enough to see and enjoy all that Castillon has to offer.
Where Castillon is situated means that not only do you have the option of relaxing by the pool or dining al fresco under a plane tree at your rental villa, but also you have a thousand options of alternative places to see and things to do, all within a very short distance from Castillon.
The main cities of the French and Italian Rivieras are indeed very close to Castillon . To take in the destinations of glamourous St Tropez to the West, Cannes, Nice and Monaco in the centre and the historical and cultural cities of Ligura to the East, all one needs is a short car journey or a short trip along the coast on the excellent and extremely scenic Train network. Castillon is close to everywhere.
