Trying to make life easier for you, at least for the duration of your holiday in Nice, we'll try to bring you as many little hints or help from the locals as we can. Inside information from people who live there, love to go there and are frequent visitors.
Beausoleil Insider Tip 1 |
Use the buses. |
| There are small commuter buses that criss cross the steep streets of Beausoleil and go between the spread out suburbs of the town. Get to know them and save your energy for the beach or sightseeing instead |
Beausoleil Insider Tip 2 |
Think like a local. |
| The thing that is unique to Beausoleil is also the thing that you will have to get used to. The elevation. It is wonderful for the dramatic views but think like a local so that you don't work up a sweat on the steps. |
Take a taxi if you have heavy stuff to carry, use the lifts, take your time, walk slowly, stop and enjoy the view or take a break and have a coffee at the half way point
Beausoleil Insider Tip 3 |
Get a Map of Monaco too. |
| Look on the street map of Monaco and find out how close it all is really. Use Monaco as your playground. Also plan your route back to your holiday apartment or rental villa by way of the many street elevators and escalators. |
It might be a slightly longer route but it is always easier to walk down rather than up. The train station is particularly useful for this with lifts and escalators down to sea level.
Beausoleil Insider Tip 4 |
Live the high life. |
| Remember that Monaco is a wealthy town used to providing for it's wealthy residents. Look for grocery stores that deliver so that you don't have to drag your shopping up any staircases, it's all about making life easier. |
Beausoleil Insider Tip 5 |
Take advantage of it's diversity. |
| One of the best things about Beausoleil is that there are a lot of specialist food stores selling a varied selection of foods from other countries in particular from the Middle East and Asia. Those who live on the Cote d'Azur will know that this is quite a treat. |
Beausoleil has a lot to offer tourists and visitors, it has a unique perspective on the coast and is perfect for getting close to all the action of Monaco.
