St Tropez Town Accessibility
St Tropez town is essentially a small fishing village. An ancient town it's streets are narrow, winding and cobbled. They are not very well suited to wheelchair use or accessibility.
On the plus side St Tropez is a town geared to outdoor living and so restaurants, bars and cafes are mostly at street level. It is also a Port so much of the attention of the town is focused on this area with wide flat pavements. While not an ideal location for wheelchair users, St Tropez town is far from impossible.
Tip: Independent Transport is a good idea
The beaches are not located in town and there is a lot to see and do further along the coast in both directions.
St Tropez Beaches Accessibility
There are some very well serviced 'handiplage' beaches in France, unfortunately none of these are located at St Tropez beach. The nearest one is at Cavalaire-sur-Mer approximately half an hour drive away from St Tropez.
Facilities there are good however with special wheel chair access rugs for the beach, trained lifeguards, toilets, parking, special beach vehicles that traverse the sand, showers and shops that are specially suited for wheelchair users.
Tip: Try the beach clubs
If your heart is set on St Tropez then some of the beach clubs are set back from the sand with wooden board walks.
