The landscape is the big thing in the Corniches. It's beautiful and dramatic but you have to get a grasp of it. Eze village is only a few kilometres away from Eze Bord-de-Mer, as the crow flies, but it is a long steep walk uphill or a ten minute drive. Plan your trips accordingly using buses, trains or cars.
The Corniches Insider Tip 2
Get the right transport
Some of the villages are only accessible by car or bus. The lie of the land means that the train route skips out Eze village, St Jean-Cap Ferrat and La Turbie. In these instances you will need a car or a bus. All the bus fares are regulated though and each trip will cost a uniform €1.00.
The Corniches Insider Tip 3
Best value
The buses are the cheapest way to get around and, as they use the Corniche roads, the views are exceptional too. They take longer though, so you don't want to be in a rush to get to your destination. Buy a day pass for €4 from agents. Look in the RG directory under 'Transport' to find contacts and information.
