Dotted by the coast are private and public beaches, and countless restaurants, cafés and bars. The nightlife, casinos and high-end restaurants give Cannes a feel of exclusivity, yet there are alternatives to suit all types of budgets.
Take a boat trip to the Îles de Lérins, two beautiful islands just off the coast of Cannes; a day cruise to Monaco, St Tropez or Nice (in high season); marvel at the city’s impressive architecture including the Notre-Dame d’Esperance – a provençal Gothic church; and take a tour of the tower said to be haunted by ‘The Man in the Iron Mask’.
With it’s mild, Mediterranean climate, Cannes is a city to be enjoyed at any time of year.
