BOULEVARD VICTOR HUGO
Nice
The Property
Boulevard Victor Hugo houses some of the most stunning apartment buildings in Nice, and is one of the finest boulevards on the Cote d'Azur. Situated in the quiet residential 'Carré d'Or' or 'Gloden Square' of Nice, it is still only minutes on foot from the beach, as well as being just next to Avenue Jean Medecin, Nice's main shopping street, and Place Massena, the newly refurbished main square with its art installations and silent tramway. Equally close by are Rue Alphonse Karr and Rue du Paradis, two of the most exclusive designer shopping streets in Nice. Take a stroll along the pedestrian zone ('Zone Pietonne') and watch the street artists while enjoying a drink at one of the many cafés and restaurants. The apartment itself is bright and airy with large windows and high ceilings which maximise the already generous room sizes. To the right of the entrance hall is a spacious bath/shower room and separate wc, and to the left is the delightfully sunlit kitchen with its balcony allowing you to make the most of your morning coffee as you watch Nice come to life, or to enjoy an aperitif and watch the sun descend over the beautiful rooftops of Boulevard Victor Hugo. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dining area for up to six people, as well as a comfortable sofa area to relax as the dinner cooks. The sitting room is large and bright, with a strong Art Deco influence in terms of furnishings, which are all of the highest quality. Relax into the large leather sofa and unwind in front of the television, or pull an armchair to one of the large arched windows and watch the world go by. The bedroom is the pièce de résistance of this apartment - step through the large double doorway into your own little piece of luxury. Simply furnished, again with an Art Deco influence, the room provides the perfect backdrop for a stunning four poster bed. What could be more romantic for your holiday on the French Riviera? Boulevard Victor Hugo is well-situated in terms of transport links, with the central train station of Nice Ville a mere five minute walk away. From here the whole of the Cote d'Azur is easily accessible, and Italy is only 45 minutes away. The tramway to the North and East of Nice is only minutes on foot from the apartment, on Avenue Jean Medecin. The tramway will take you in just three stops to the Gare Routière (central bus station) from where there are links to some of the less accessible tourist spots like the perched villages of Eze and St Paul de Vence. What really makes this charming apartment so special is its wonderful location. It is rare to find peace and tranquility in a city centre, and yet the Musicians' Quarter offers all that plus close proximity to the Promenade des Anglais and its many beaches, and to all that Nice has to offer. You couldn't choose a better place to spend your holiday on the French Riviera. |
