The apartment itself comprises a large open plan living area, in which the living, dining and kitchen areas are however distinctly separate; a double bedroom with balcony and a spacious bathroom. With large windows overlooking a beautiful fountain, and beyond that the new silent tramway and stunning Italian Palazzos of Place Massena, you don't even need to leave the apartment to experience the magic of the city of Nice. The apartment can sleep up to 3 people and can comfortably provide dining space for four. The fully fitted kitchen has all you need should you prefer a night off from the extensive variety of restaurants Nice, and particularly the nearby Old Town, has to offer. The living area features inviting soft furnishings to sink into after a long day's sightseeing or sunbathing! The double bedroom is decorated in cool colours and features a balcony with table and chairs - the perfect spot to take your morning coffee and watch the old town slowly come to life, or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and watch the world go by. The bathroom is equipped with shower, wc and washbasin, and all linens and towels are provided. The apartment building is an excellent example of the quintessential Niçois building - brightly painted with high ceilings and in excellent condition. This building is unusual in that it also has lift access, which is rare in the Old Town of Nice. Place Massena has recently been completely renewed in order to allow for Nice's new silent tramway. The apartment is just seconds away from a tram stop and also very near to the central bus station, as well as being only ten minutes or 3 tram stops from the central train station of Nice Ville. Regular bus and train links can take you all around the Cote d'Azur, including the popular tourist destinations of Monte Carlo, Cannes, and Antibes. Situated at the entrance to Vieux Nice (the Old Town of Nice), the apartment is in a great location to enjoy the huge variety of restaurants, bars and cafés on offer, and particularly to sample the traditional foods of Nice such as the famous Socca (a kind of bread). There are also regular markets including flower and book markets, and a vast array of boutiques hidden in the narrow winding streets of Nice's historical centre. The apartment is also ideally situated to visit the gardens of the Paillon and Albert I, and is minutes from the main shopping street of Avenue Jean Medecin, which plays host to department store Galleries Lafayette along with all the high street favourites. More boutiques, cafes and restaurants are to be found on the pedestrianised area to the left of Place Massena. For sun worshippers, both public and private beaches are but a minute's walk from the apartment, and a short walk will take you to the gardens of the chateau, which provide one of the most stunning panoramic views of the Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels) and of the Port of Nice. |
