Just a few minutes away from the bustling city life of Nice to the west and Monaco to the east, Villefranche-sur-Mer is a tranquil jewel on the Côte d’Azur, where sunshine, great food and spectacular vistas make it an ideal spot to enjoy the relaxing side of Riviera life.
Set at the foot of villa-scattered hills which spill down to its horseshoe bay, port and beach, the town offers a wide range of restaurants, activities and boutiques to cater for any age or taste, while also being small enough to wander everywhere by foot. In the quaint and colourful old quarter, stroll through the narrow cobbled streets, exploring the sheltered ‘Rue Obscure’ as you make your way to St. Peter’s Chapel, where Jean Cocteau’s artwork decorates the walls. Soak up the atmosphere at the daily market when the main square comes alive with everything from the finest local food produce to second-hand bric-a-brac on any given day.
