The Global Champions Tour is an international show jumping event that is in its 6th consecutive season. It is an event that has gained some prestige and recognition on the world tour for raising the game when it comes to the quality and size of prize money and it is ranked as a five star event.
The Global Champions Tour attracts some of the best show jumpers and dressage champions as they compete for the honours of GCT Champion title and significant prize monies on offer.
The Tour starts in Doha Qatar and continues in some of the most beautiful and prestigious locations around the world as is only befitting of such magnificent animals and so a noble sport.
Tour destinations include Hamburg, Germany, Valencia, Spain, Cannes, France, Monte Carlo, Monaco, Estoril, Portugal, Chantilly, France, Rio De Janerio, Brazil, Valkenswaard, Netherlands, Turino, Italy and Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Cannes Global Champions Tour date is 9th June 2011 until 11th June 2011 and has become the highest endowed horse show with a purse of 1.4 million dollars in prize money.
The Tour moves onto Monte-Carlo on June 23rd until June 25th where the Port Hercule provides a dramatic and technically challenging backdrop for the international riders and their horses.
