Historic Grand Prix of Monaco 2012

Monaco will host the 7th Historic Formula One Grand Prix on May 1st and May 2nd 2010. The weekend long event is a chance to see some of the oldest and greatest Formula One cars of our time in action again.

A living breathing museum exhibition it is a delight to see these cars in full flight as they were determined to be, rather than gathering dust in a museum.

You will see Grand Prix cars competing from pre 1947, pre 1961, pre '66, pre 75 and pre '78. You will also find sports cars from pre 1950's and Formula 3 cars from pre 1973.

Saturday 1st May 2010 sees the cars practise and qualify with the races taking place on Sunday 2nd May.

The cars will run on the same circuit as the Formula One World Championship race that takes place on Sunday 16th May this year.

Famous marques such as Bugatti, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, ERA, Cooper Bristol, Connaught, Brabham, Lotus, BRM, Lola, Surtees, March, Ensign will make up the grids as well as today's current names in their earlier days; Williams, Ferrari and McLaren.

Prices for tickets start at €20 for practise days and €35 for the race day. The grandstands are the same grandstands as those used for the Grand Prix later in the month but take note not all of them are open.
