MIPTV is held in Cannes festival Hall on the 30 March through to 3 April 2009. It is an international market place where producers of broad spectrum entertainment get to showcase their work and access financing, buying, selling and co-producing possibilities.
This annual festival in Cannes offers professionals in the industry to meet and network over the course of the three days and partake in conferences, meetings and promotions for all levels of content providers.
The show includes film ,TV and digital media broadcasters, producers and distributors who will have the opportunity to promote their work or services for use in mobile, broadband, TV, advertising and internet applications.
13,360 participants from 111 countries will converge on Cannes to take up residence in 22,058 square metres of exhibition space over a period of four days.
The Venue is the world famous exhibition space of Les Palais des Festival which is located on the seafront in the French Riviera town.  Jeremy Darroch, the chief executive of BSkyB has been announced as a Key note speaker at this years Cannes MIPTV festival. MIPTV is the event of the year for the entertainment industry where new talent has the opportunity to pitch to old hands in the business. The television event is an international market place for producers and content providers, an opportunity to buy, sell, network, pitch new ideas and learn about the future of the industry.
Tim Kring, the creator and executive producer of TV phenomenon Heroes will also speak at the 2010 MIPTV event. It will be at the Cannes television and multi media event that Kring will be presented with his 2010 International Digital Emmy award. He is credited for revolutionising the TV experience into an interactive, multi platform experience.
