Nice Carnival 2010 will commence on the 12th February and conclude on 28 February 2010 in the usual merriment of colour and riot of flowers.
The 2010 theme is 'The Blue Planet' with floats depicting the story of the earth and promises to be even bigger and brighter than last years event.
Nice Carnaval is one of the largest in the world with thousands of dancers and musicians taking up place in the parade of amazing floats of flowers and lights. Last year saw the route altered to commence in the newly renovated Place Massena and continue along Nice's famous Promenade des Anglais.
Join in the festivities day or night with the traditional flower battles, light shows and general good time for all.

Nice Carnival takes place in February and March.
It is Nice's most famous festival and dates back to the turn of the century. Traditionally popular figures are lampooned and represented as giant figures of fun. No-one is spared, from top politicians to movie stars, anyone can find themselves depicted as a giant caricature on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
Make sure that you visit Nice during the Carnival, it is the most stunning event and takes place in startling bright sunlight and blue skies.
