Wine Fair for Independent Wine Producers 2012

2011 is the first year that this event will take place in Nice. The 1er Salon des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants is a wine fair that brings together 220 of the finest independent wine grwoers and producers from the 13 French wine regions.

The Independent wine growers are an collection of passionate independent wine growers and producers who have signed a charter of independent viticulturists.

The Independent Winegrower, as outlined in the French Charter commits to:

- Respects his soil
- Cultivates his vine
- Harvests his grapes
- Turns to wine and grows his wine
- Elaborates his brandy
- Bottles his production is his cellar
- Commercialises his wine
- Betters himself in the respect of tradition
- Welcomes, advises about wine tasting and takes pleasure to present the results of his work and cultivation.

This is the first time that the exhibition will come to Nice, but hopefully it will become an annual event that will appeal to wine lovers throughout Nice and the region.

Doors open from 20th to 22nd May 2011 in Nice at the Acropolis Exhibition Centre. Entrance is from 3 to 6 Euro and includes a glass of wine. There are scheduled tastings throughout the day and can be experienced by the expert or the casual appreciating wine lover.
