 The annual Monte Carlo Rolex Tennis Masters is fast approaching with this years event commencing on the 10th April 2010.
Monte Carlo has a long history of Tennis with a more than 100 year association with the sport and this event.
Monaco also has a vast experienced in staging expert International events despite the small size of the Principality as the Monaco Grand Prix and International Show jumping event can attest to.
The Monte Carlo Tennis Masters is a favourite with fans and players alike. No doubt the beautiful setting and gentle climate play their part, eased along by the €2,543,750 prize monies fund too, for the players at least.
Played on clay courts over looking the blue waters of the Mediterranean the Tennis masters is a wonderful location, it is also part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament.
Past champions of this prestigious Tennis event have included Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl and Cédric Pioline. Although in recent years Rafael Nadal has been inclined to make it his own personal event with no fewer than 5 consecutive titles to his name. Will 2010 be his 6th or can Britain's Andy Murray ruffle his feathers a little more than he did last year?
