Director and film maker Tim Burton will be casting his eclectic eye over proceedings at this years Cannes film Festival.
It has been announced that the US director will be given the title honour of President of the 2010 Cannes film festival jury.
Burton has given the movie world such fantastical wonders as Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow and a Batman movie as well as some beautiful, famously creepy and imaginative animation projects.
The director claims that he is more than ready for the prestigious role, "after spending my early life watching triple features and forty eight hour movie marathons," he is looking forward to the 2 weeks of movies that will comprise this years Cannes film Festival.
The festival starts on May 12 2010 and will see the usual galaxy of Hollywood stars arrive on the French Riviera.
