Jennifer Lopez and her family have jetted in early to the South of France for the Cannes Film Festival, presumably to beat the endless disruptions caused by the volcanic ash cloud.
Travel plans for most people have been chaotic at best and cancelled at worst and the stars are no exception to this particular problem. Even if you have the possibility to charter your own private jet you are still at the mercy of the volcanic ash as it trawls around European airspace.
Jennifer Lopez, promoting her new film, 'The Back-up Plan', was taking no chances and got here early. Grand Jury President Tim Burton has also thankfully arrived and it is hoped that the expected super star celebrities are all indeed going to make it.
Jennifer Lopez et sa famille arrived into Nice airport on May 6th and has already enjoyed taking her twins for a spin on a carousel in Monaco and a shopping trip in Saint Tropez. Perhaps she will be enjoying the drama of the Formula One Grand Prix from a Monaco penthouse but no doubt we will be seeing her on the red carpet in Cannes this week.
Michael Douglas has booked the Grace Kelly suite in the Cannes Carlton for his family and will be the first guest since it's recent refurbishment. It remains a thoroughly 5 star accommodation for the Hollywood star and his glamourous wife.
