Angelina Jolie gave birth to her twins on the 12th July 2008 in la Fondation Lenval childrens hospital in Nice on the Cote d'Azur. Jolie was confined to bed rest for the last couple of weeks of her pregnancy as the strain of carrying twins to term began to take their toll.
Both children were born however in full health and weighed in at little more than 5lbs each. They will be named Vivienne Marcheline, in honour of Angelina's late mother, and Knox Leon.
The hospital, a renowned facility throughout France as being one of the best children's hospitals in the country, was besieged by paparazzi and news hounds desperate for the first shot of the famous twins.
It was not to be as the couple cleverly dodged the media spotlight by choosing to leave the hospital in the dead of night. They were whisked away at 4am in the morning to their new home the Château Miraval near Brignoles in Provence.
The villa is said to feature 35 bedrooms, a moat, a lake and more than 1000 acres of farm and forested parkland. The couple, contrary to rumours have not bought the magnificent villa but have rented it for several years from its current American owner Tom Bove.
The property is a magnificent, lovingly restored working vineyard that produces a limited supply of organic wines. It has all the luxury that a property of this prestige affords although privacy may not be one of them.
Reports of violent clashes between the couples security detail and paparazzi have started to appear. Reports of bloody clashes and broken fingers and HIV threats have appeared in the worlds press prompting Brad to furiously declare war on the invading paps saying if they want it they'll get it.
Hopefully the first few weeks lives of the most famous newborns in the world will quieten down and become as tranquil as the countryside they are residing in. |
