 Leighton Meester was spotted filming in Monte Carlo last week. The new production, due for release in 2011 goes by the same name, "Monte Carlo" and tells the story of 3 girls, holidaying in Paris, who find themselves whisked off to Monte Carlo after a case of mistaken identity.
The Romantic comedy is the work of writer/director Thomas Bezucha, a former fashion executive who made his movie break through with the Big Eden and, more recently, the Family Stone.
Nicole Kidman was set to appear opposite Julia Roberts but the decision to go with a younger cast was made and Kidman takes on a producer role instead. The production have been spotted in different stunning locations around the Principality, shooting scenes and causing a bit of a stir.
The French Riviera has provided the back drop for many Hollywood movies including James Bond, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and cult favourite The Transporter. Robert De Niro tore through he streets of Nice and La Turbie in 'Heat' and Monaco has featured heavily in music videos by Rap super heavy weight 50 Cent and R&B star Usher.
