A new documentary, directed by Ian Halperin, is due to be screened at MIPTV conference in Cannes this month. The annual conference is one of the largest marketplaces for global media content providers with representatives from TV, film, and digital media gathering in Cannes to network and deal the deals.
Halperin, who also wrote the Jackson documentary " Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson", claims that this is the film that Jacko fans deserve. Titled, "Gone Too Soon" after Jacksons own 1991 song from his 8th studio album 'Dangerous', the director has reportedly featured interviews from key Jackson people including his personal manger, his trainer, bodyguard, chef and spiritual adviser.
The family are said to know about the forthcoming movie but have not made any moves for or against it and family attorney Brian Oxman is said to have contributed. Halperin, who gleaned his documentary from 300 hours of video footage, is something of a Michael Jackson expert having spent 5 years researching his Unmasked book.
It will undoubtedly feature all the 'weirdness' that constituted the King of Pops bizarre life but Halperin insists it is a balanced tribute to Jacko.
Fans will get to see for themselves in Cannes this month and throughout the summer in restricted cinemas viewings throughout France and Canada. Michael Jackson's death remains as much a fascination as his strange and fantastic life did and it seems we will never leave this poor soul to rest in Peace. Jackson, it seems belongs to the people for eternity.
